It's in Bourdettes at the foot of Pyrenees, a village close to Nay where the pastoral practice and the transhumance are still very important, that Daban's industry is located. It is the 10th generations' heir of the traditional cowbells’ manufacturing, made from baked sheet steels.
Placed in a business park craft, the workshop of the Daban’s Cowbells is accessible by car of course, but also within bike-cycling distance if you go by the Veloroute 81 : start from the parking of the Tourist office in Nay then branch off to join the business park craft Samadet. Nearby, in Nay, several points of interest are to be discovered in connection with the strong industrial activity of Nay Country, such as the Museum of the Beret, last living testimony of this local strong textile production now over. On the Town hall square, you can enjoy the town planning of the ancient country-house, the medieval origin which is similar to a checkerboard pattern, arches surrounding the main place. Other major building, situated under the arches of the square: the Maison Carrée, a Renaissance residence that housess the Museum of the industry and local cultural events throughout the year (exhibitions, plays, tales…).
Should you decide to have a walk on the banks of the mountain stream opposite the Tourist Office, then you’ll see another industrial building: the Minoterie (an old watermill), made into a Contemporary Arts Center and now owned by Chahab, iranian artist, painter and sculptor on metal.
Nay, the municipality center, gives you an access to all the local services: administrative, food, information, bicycle hire, ways of transport, etc.
